For more than 100 years, Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse has provided an extraordinary play space for over 10 million visitors.

Mission: Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse provides safe, creative and fun recreational facilities free of charge to children in the Philadelphia area.

Who: The Playground is for supervised children ten years and younger.

The Playhouse is for supervised children five years and younger.

When: The Playground is open Tuesday- Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April, May, June September and October and from 10a.m.- 7 p.m. beginning the second Tuesday in June- August.
The Playhouse is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday- Sunday year round.

Closed:  Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse is closed to the public on Mondays all year round as well as the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
